Summary:
The Symphony of Lights is a mesmerizing laser event, the dazzling lights projected from about forty buildings on either side of the Harbour, coordinated with a mesmerizing orchestra that can either be heard by radio of listened to on the Kowloon side, along the Tsim Sha Tsui or at the Golden Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai.
“The first scene "Awakening" begins with flashes of laser lights that give life to a nucleus of light-energy which gradually illuminates participating buildings using an array of dancing lights and rainbow colour. This scene symbolises the genesis and powerful growth of Hong Kong.
The second scene "Energy" is represented by the display of rising colour patterns and the sweeping of the lasers and searchlights energetically across the night sky, signifying the vibrant energy of Hong Kong.
In the third scene "Heritage", traditional lucky red and gold colours are displayed across buildings on both sides of the Harbour, complemented by the introduction of music using Chinese musical instruments, symbolising Hong Kong's colourful heritage and rich cultural traditions.
The fourth scene "Partnership" features a display of laser beams and sweeping searchlights scanning across the Harbour, representing an illuminated connection with the opposite side. Beams reach out to symbolically connect the two sides of the Harbour into one greater and unified partnership.
The finale "Celebration" brings out a powerful rhythmic display of swirling, kaleidoscopic patterns of lights and beams dancing lively across the Harbour. The exciting final scene signifies the celebration of the close partnership between the two sides of the Harbour and represents an even brighter future for Asia's world city – Hong Kong.”

The Annual Marco Polo German Bierfest of Hong Kong is celebrating its 25th anniversary! Asia’s longest-running outdoor German beer festival is a big hit with beer fans. Hundreds of thousands of visitors head for the giant marquee overlooking spectacular Victoria Harbour to eat authentic German food, clink steins and sing along the Notenhobler band since 1994, the official band in Marco Polo German Bierfest. There are also popular games and various drinking contests.
Upon buying the tickets, guests receive a glass of beer and one Marco Polo German Bierfest beer mug!

The blast will take place at 9PM EST, the location for it in game is the Marco Polo. The threads will go on for as long as you wish to. It is assumed all that happens in both the blast and the threads just happen at different times, so do not be afraid to use both!
You may indicate whether you would like a chance card with your posted comments. If you choose do so, we will describe a situation your muse will go through related to the paragraph you wrote. We can promise your muse will not suffer harm, but we cannot promise they will not suffer embarrassment. This is a chance for other people to jump into the scene!

Tsim Sha Tsui
Starting at the colonial-era Clock Tower and stretching all the way to Hung Hom, a stroll along the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade takes one past the Hong Kong Cultural Centre and the Hong Kong Space Museum.
But like most of the love birds and shutterbugs on the promenade, your gaze will be drawn south to the dramatic topographical and architectural spectacle that is the Hong Kong Island skyline towering over the busy waters of Victoria Harbour.

"Have you seen anything like this before?" He leaned down to speak into Soojung's ear so she could hear him over the buzz and conversation of the crowd around them.

A night trip was what would Joonmyun call this in the past but strolling at this hour when the sun had set was now the norm for him. Hong Kong was a colorful drug, he thought, everything magnified through his new senses, the sounds clear and singing through his ears. Time wasn't of the essence anymore, work completed in the last two hours and here he was in his old holey jeans, a complete opposite of his tailored suit and tie he left at home. Joonmyun stretched his arms over his head, uncharacteristic even for the Joonmyun of both past and now, and started walking. He had fed two days ago too that the scent of humans didn't bother him that much except for that quick whiff of demigod blood -- those he quickly evaded and shuffled to the opposite direction. He came for the sights and the music too, feeling deliciously alone and uncaring to the rest of the world.

Re: Tsim Sha Tsui
the traffic into the festival area had died down and lisa was feeling pretty worn out from driving back and forth. she really wasn't into crowds and thought the least she could do was make some extra money off of the popular attraction. she had heard of the event of course and had even attended before, when it was quite different. but of course she could not let that be known, since she was supposed to only have been allowed to attend it two years prior, upon reaching legal drinking age.
mixed with the exhaustion, she was starting to grow hungry. after the hunger pains were too much, lisa had to finally give in and clock out of her uber shift to feed. it must have been the long week adding up that made her give in so quickly. regardless, she parked near the attraction, the large volume of people drawing her in, like a literal human buffet. still, she did what she had to and took care of business discreetly as always.
on top of feeling it a waste of a night should she return immediately home, the beach called to her as did the lights. she could definitely appreciate that and it was enough to make her stay. despite others she knew attending, she only wanted to find a nice spot to enjoy the beautiful scenery in while she digested. then she might engage a little more. at some point, she would need to decide if she was up to clocking back in and driving drunk folks home to the island. she settled somewhere less condensed on the sand, laying down on her stomach and simply staring off at the ocean and enjoying the lasers and the music.

Golden Bauhinia Square
The bauhinia is the emblem of Hong Kong. The Forever Blooming Bauhinia Sculpture that gives the Expo Promenade the commonly used name, Golden Bauhinia Square, was a gift from the Central Government to mark the 1997 Handover — an occasion that held tremendous significance for the world’s largest nation and that stands out as a landmark event in 20th century history.
Re: Golden Bauhinia Square
He knew he should have scheduled this better, dropped his things home, perhaps changed clothes, not just rushing out of Disneyland, because now he felt kind of weird just staying there.
Re: Golden Bauhinia Square
He arrived at the Square with a paper bag of extra pastries and cakes in his hand, plus some time to spare before the event would start. Fishing his phone out from his jeans pocket, he sent a text to Joongki, telling his brother that he was at the venue. Looking around, there were big crowds everywhere and that was when the instinct to hide kicked in. His brother wasn't around, and Ares was at home. He felt defenseless, and started looking for a place with less people.
Just when he turned around, he bumped into someone. Great, he thought, face already burning with embarrassment. "I'm so sorry!" he said in English, looking up at the person he might have harmed unintentionally.
